Job Summary
As a rigger you will work as part of the production team to ensure that all rigging systems are safely and effectively installed and operated. This role involves collaborating with event planners, designers, and other crew members to execute the technical requirements of each event.
Location: Nashville, TN
Duties/Responsibilities
Rigging Setup
Install, adjust, and dismantle rigging systems, including trusses, hoists, and other equipment.
Safety Compliance
Ensure all rigging operations adhere to safety standards and regulations, performing risk assessments as necessary.
Equipment Inspection
Conduct regular inspections of rigging gear, including cables, pulleys, and hardware, ensuring they are in good working condition. Collaboration
Work closely with lighting and sound technicians to integrate rigging with other technical elements of the production.
Load Management
Calculate and manage load capacities to ensure safe and effective rigging setups.
Troubleshooting
Identify and resolve rigging-related issues during events, adapting to changing requirements as necessary.
Qualifications
Experience
Minimum three years rigging experience, preferably in live events.
Technical Knowledge
Familiarity with rigging equipment, techniques, and safety standards.
Certifications
Relevant rigging certifications (e.g., OSHA, ETCP) are a plus.
Physical Fitness
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights. ·
Communication Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Working Conditions
Must be willing to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor venues.
